Chestnut Hill is a neighborhood in the Northwest Philadelphia section in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2011, homes for sale in Chestnut Hill had a median sale price of $629,500 — the highest of any Philadelphia neighborhood outside of Center City. This price was an increase of 57% from its 2005 median price.

One particularly famous Chestnut Hill landmark is the Thomas Mill Covered Bridge in the Wissahickon Gorge, just a short but scenic walk from St. Martin’s station of the Chestnut Hill West train line. This pedestrian-only bridge has the notable distinction of being the only covered bridge left standing in any major U.S. city.
